Software-defined radio (SDR) is a radiocommunication system where components that have been traditionally implemented in hardware (e.g. mixers, filters, amplifiers, modulators/demodulators, detectors, etc.) are instead implemented by means of software on a personal computer or embedded system.
SDR# is a software program created by a gentleman name Youssef Touil It is a software program that allows the use of various hardware dongles to receive radio signals. SDR# is a copyrighted program. If you would like to learn more about SDR# you can go here to download the software and read more.
I prefer to use SDR# because of its ease of use and because of it's simple interface and mostly because of it's ability to allow programmers like to to create "Plugins" for it
Plugins are small programs written for a specific piece of software which allow for extended functioning of the app that uses those plugins
My name is Eddie. I am a father and a husband with a full time job. I love coding and love SDR Radio. I especially enjoy using SDR# and have great fun developing custom plugins for the SDR# app.
